For our home place Canada, long waiting for medical treatment, businesses closing or out moving, the downturn of oil price-dragged economy and more such disappointments are all not natural, not inevitable, but all reversible, if we work on it.
In the same place with same group people, ISO50001 made 3M Canada save energy 30% clearly shows that, in Canada, the poor management is the main cause of businesses decline, and the defined accountability of putting responsible tag on the forehead of individual is the key measure to reverse the low productivity.
In the same social culture of Canada, the achievement of ISO50001 inspire us that, the poor governance is main cause for most social disappointments.

1. The rational view of Mr. Guy Nelson on the relation of Canada and China
Mr. Nelson who sees China as a huge opportunity for his company, noting theme parks planned by Walt Disney Co and Universal Studios in China, but said bumpy relations between the two countries hurt business.

Faced with the wave of decolonization and national independence after the WWII, the government of China proposed the Five Principles firstly and to be signed as formal codification in treaty form between China and India in 1954, later it was subsequently incorporated in modified form in a statement of ten principles issued in April 1955 at Asian-African Conference in Bandung, Indonesia.
The five principles were very rational. Even if, we take the state relations simply as that of the folk knowledge in our daily life, as that of the relations of the neighborhoods, the rational people will never intervene in the internal affairs of other people's families.
Suppose in the tone of Mr. Guy Nelson that should be as that how your neighbors wish to live their life is their business.
This is the basic condition for a peaceful quiet neighborhood.
We can imagine that, if the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence are respected by all countries, the world would be very different and would be more peaceful.

8. Politician and business blames each other for incompetence in the market of China
Aug. 21, 2015, I read Nov. 07, 2014 article Prime Minister Stephen Harper stumps for Canadian exporters. It reports that when was China trip with Harper in 2014, International TradeMinister Ed Fast said: "When we look to China, which will soon be the biggest economy in the world, we look at the most populous country in the world, and I have to ask Canadian businesses: Why not China? Why aren't we doing business in China?"
Viewing from the comments of the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Guy Nelson and the International Trade Minister Ed Fast, it is obvious, in Canada, for inefficient trade effort with big market of China, the business community and the government officials seem to blame each other.
The comments of the gentlemen, I think, were due to that they were being personally in China and being moved by social vitality, great changes and advanced social infrastructure facilities.
