It seems that you were using Chinese-style chopsticks, but you should use public chopsticks to take the foods from the shared plates, to put them on your own plate, and then to eat with your own chopsticks. 

If everyone uses their own chopsticks to take the foods in the shared plates, it is easy to spread the disease that someone may have.

A 2006 Hong Kong Department of Health survey found that the proportion of people using distinctly separate serving chopsticks, spoons, or other utensils for serving food from a common dish has increased from 46% to 65% since the SARS outbreak in 2003.

     There is an inextricable link between the activity of human fingers and the function of the brain. The nerves associated with the cerebral cortex and fingers are the most extensive, and the area of the thumb movement in the brain is 10 times that of the thigh. The activity of the fingers stimulates the cerebral cortex and promotes some creative areas to be more active. Make people smart and intelligent.

     Studies have shown that the use of chopsticks requires the participation of dozens of muscles in the hands, effectively promoting and stimulating brain tissue development.

     When using chopsticks, the participation of more than 30 joints and more than 50 muscles of the child's hands and arms requires coordination of the nervous system to promote the child's motor coordination and intellectual development, so eating with chopsticks can make the child's ingenuity.

     Visual positioning is required before using chopsticks to take food. It requires the balance of the extraocular muscles. At the same time, the foveal fovea adjusts the common visual direction and merges with the cerebral cortex central imaging system, thus promoting the development of children's visual function. Helps prevent strabismus and amblyopia.

    筷子是中华传统饮食文化特色之一,使用筷子不只是能吃饭那么简单,使用筷子还有很多好处。有研究证明使用筷子需要手部几十块肌肉参加,有效促进和刺激大脑组织发育。英国也有研究证明用筷子进餐能控制肥胖,促进大脑发育等。下面就来看看

【使用筷子增强智力】

    人类手指的活动和大脑功能之间有千丝万缕的联系,大脑皮层和手指相关联的神经所占面积最广,大脑中大拇指运动区的面积是大腿运动区的10倍。手指的活动能刺激大脑皮层运动区,促使某些富于创造性的区域更加活跃。所以要想培养聪明伶俐、才智过人的儿童,就应尽早锻炼孩子的手指活动能力。适时学会使用筷子,不仅可以提高孩子的动手能力,还可以增强智力。

    婴儿一岁半时,就可以让他拿勺子吃粥或乳粉糊。3岁后,则要求孩子学习和掌握用正确的方法拿筷子。使用筷子时,孩子手与手臂的30多个关节和50多块肌肉的参与,都需要神经系统协调,所以用筷子就餐可使孩子心灵手巧。一日三餐,每次就餐使用20分钟筷子,一天就有1个小时的锻炼,这对孩子的运动协调能力和智力发育非常有益。

【用筷子吃饭能减肥】

    英国《筷子瘦身法》一书写道:“用筷子吃饭能减缓进食速度,饭量会随之减少”,作者认为“用筷子进食是东方人保持身材苗条的原因”。进食过程中,大脑需要20分钟才能获得饱腹感,故狼吞虎咽容易导致进食过量。用筷子进餐需要集中精力,有效地降低进食速度。而且,小孩使用筷子还能有助于养成孩子小口吃饭的习惯。

【用筷子吃饭对视力好】

    使用筷子夹食物前要先用视觉定位,需要眼外肌群的平衡协调,同时视网膜黄斑中心凹调整共同的视觉方向,并与大脑皮层中枢成像系统融合,因此能促进孩子视觉功能的发育,对预防斜视和弱视都有帮助。
