Year Round Parking Regulations

No vehicle is permitted to park for more than 3 hours on any street in Kitchener unless signs are posted to indicate otherwise.
Vehicles are not permitted to park on sidewalks.
No person is permitted to park a vehicle on private property without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property.
Parking on City boulevards -whether paved or grass- is not permitted. This includes between the sidewalk and street.
Vehicles are not permitted to park within 3 metres of a fire hydrant.
Parking in prohibited areas, facing the wrong direction, with expired licence plates or without licence plates is not permitted on any City street.
Parking of trucks in excess of 4,600 kg (4.6 tonnes) on any residential street is not permitted.
Parking or stopping in designated fire routes is not permitted.
No person may park a vehicle in a space designated for disabled persons without displaying a disabled persons permit.
Vehicles are not permitted to park on City streets between the hours of 2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. from December 1st through to March 31st.
