American here, I worked for Google for 5 weeks. I was in a team of 16. The only other white person was the boss, and everyone else was indian. They all spoke in their native tongue around me, made sure I wasn't included in anything, and the worst part is they all had no idea how to do anything in my profession. After a week, the boss started going directly to me even though the other people were there for years. Not only was I directly discriminated against by my fellow coworkers, I was expected to teach them a job they've been supposed to be doing. When I resigned, my boss offered me $20k bonus and "lead" role. I declined. Those guys were complete assholes and repeatedly setup myself (and even their other coworkers) for failure. The boss still calls me asking for help and favors. Funny enough, two days after I quit, I received 27 phone calls from the office. All of which I didn't pick up. Ignorance, blame, disrespectful. This is my only interaction with Indians. Horrible. I cant say this is everyone of Indian ethnicity but they sure as fuck set a precedent in my mind of what to expect working with Indians, especially in Tech.
