I am forwarding this information from Waterloo UPS for those who are applying for parent/grandparent sponsorship and want their application package to be delivered to the Mississauga CIC office on January 4, 2016, when the application acceptance opens up: There are basically 2 Options for delivering the application package. Option 1. Direct Local Specialized delivery 1. Bring the completed application to UPS store at 133 Weber North, cross Street Bridgeport, as soon as possible or before noon on Dec 30, 2016 (Wednesday). 2. We will create the waybill and provide the tracking number. 3. The package will be delivered by 8.00 a.m. on Jan 4 by a local courier and you will receive the confirmation of the delivery. 4. The cost for the service is $105.00 plus tax. Option 2. Using UPS direct delivery. 1. The parcel needs to be submitted to the Waterloo UPS Store no later than noon on Dec 31. It will be using UPS early morning delivery. Due to the holidays, UPS will deliver the application package on Jan 4, no later than 9.00 a.m. 2. The cost is about $59 plus tax. Notes: Due to the nature of the delivery at the mail room with potential long line up, past experience shows that the UPSdriver may not be able to line up at the immigration office to wait for the submission, thus the potential risk. For either service, as usual, the potential risk of delay still exist. If using option 1 and submitting the application as soon as possible, it will position the delivery at the earlier sequence of the lineup and prevent any last minute risk or delay. Option 1 and 2 delivery service is a one-time service specially set up for this purpose/occasion only, and such package can be accepted at the Waterloo UPS only. Thanks, UPS store owner.
