The City of Kitchener requires a Webmaster to join our Information Technology team. Duties include maintaining the City's Internet, Enterprise and Intranet sites, assessing trends and formulating enhancements, managing site changes in a timely fashion, and diagnosing and resolving problems. Working in a team environment alongside the Web Developer, the Webmaster will develop and implement solutions to client and application needs.
A three year degree/diploma in Computer Science or other computer related discipline is required with a minimum of two years of Webmaster experience. Applicants must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required.  Applicants must have a solid understanding of information system technologies, web system design, requirements specification and database integration.  Proficiency required in HTML, XML, DHTML, SQL, JavaScript, C# and ASP.NET, along with the knowledge of the appropriate use of templates and cascading style sheets. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using Adobe Dreamweaver/Flash/Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Visual Studio and project management methodologies.

In the event there is no successful applicant with the stated level of education and experience, other applicants will be considered if a combination of their education and experience meets the following pre-determined equivalency: 2-Year Specialized Training with minimum 4 years experience or 4-Year Honours Degree with minimum 1 year experience.
Salary: $55,872 - $69,840 per annum
