The City of Kitchener is seeking an experienced Sewer Maintainer to join our Operations Team.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.ALL APPLICANTS FOR THIS COMPETITION...

• Must be reliable with good attitude and employment record.
• Must pass a medical examination if required.
• Must successfully complete required progressional criteria as it relates to this job title and are expected to achieve a level 3 in Wastewater Collection licensing.
• Must possess a grade 12 diploma.
• Must have a valid Waste Water Collection License Level II.
• Must be capable of operating and maintaining sewage pumping stations.
• Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.
• Must possess a valid ''DZ'' driver's licence in good standing.
• Must be a competent person as defined by the Ontario Health & Safety Act.
• Must be available for ''sewer on-call'' duty and winter call outs as required.
• Must have proven Customer service skills to effectively deal with customers.
• Preference may be give to applicants with level 3 or 4 Waste Water Collection licenses.

*Candidates will be required to successfully complete a driving skills assessment.
*Candidates will be required to complete profile testing prior to interviews.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
. Primary function is a Pumping Station Maintainer on an assigned sewer crew.
. Perform other related duties as assigned including operating snow removal equipment as required in the winter.
Required Driver's Licence Class: DZ
Salary: $24.57 - 26.05 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
