Gas Lab Tech: We are looking for a gas lab test technician for one of our customers in the Guelph/Fergus area. It will begin as a 6 month contract with the goal of ended up as a permanent position. JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Laboratory Technologist Evaluate gas, oil and electric product designs to corresponding agency, governmental, and company standards in support of new product development product maintenance and cost reduction. Evaluate new product designs for compliance to appliance standards, as well as Energy Efficiency Regulations and local code protocols. Document and report test results in an organized format to Product Engineers in both written and oral format. Assemble test setups per appropriate test standards and guidelines. Utilize various test equipment such as temperature recorders/indicators, combustion analyzers, gas meters, anemometers, etc. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to generate reports of findings based on data obtained via temperature recorders, data loggers, and associated analytical test equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel. Our customer will provide training in gas and water technology. The job is expected to pay $16-25/hr.
