** 让我们用纳税人的钱来衡量一下。除了购买价格，每天的房间费用是140美元，伙食费是84美元（基于2024年的价格，我再说一遍，是2024年的价格），最多入住90天，总计20160美元。这是每人的费用。进一步细分，每月将近7000美元。这相当于每月支付两到三个月的房贷！????作为加拿大公民，你每月能挣到这么多钱吗？
皮克林市未被咨询——杜伦区悄悄地将位于金斯顿路533号（紧邻401高速公路）的前康福特酒店改建为一个秘密的联邦庇护申请接待中心，最多可容纳250名申请者。
杜伦区所有8位市长早在2025年12月就已知晓此事，并在一次闭门保密会议上批准了该方案。没有公众参与，也没有通知居民。
现在，从2027年4月起，纳税人将不得不承担每年707.5万加元的住房、食品和服务费用——而我们的老年人和退伍军人却在苦苦等待，你们自己都难以支付账单，更别提孩子的教育项目了。
这种多层级的政府保密行为令人作呕。
我们不是联合国的垃圾场。

Pickering’s SECRET Asylum Hotel EXPOSED: You will pay $7M/Year starting in 2027 - YAY - No choice!
** Let’s put this into perspective using your tax payers dollars. On top of the purchase price, room costs per day are $140/day and food costs are $84/day, based on 2024, I repeat 2024 rates, for stays of up to 90 days = ( $20,160 ). That’s per person. Break it down even more, it’s almost $7,000.00 a month. That’s like making 2 or 3 mortgage payments per month! 
Do you as a Canadian Citizen bring home that much per month.
Pickering was NOT consulted — Durham Region quietly turned the former Comfort Inn at 533 Kingston Road (right off the 401) into a secret federal asylum reception centre for up to 250 claimants.
All 8 Durham mayors knew since December 2025 and approved it in a closed-door confidential meeting. No public input. No notice to residents.
Now, taxpayers get stuck with the full $7.075 million a year for housing, food, and services starting April 2027 — while our seniors and veterans wait and you can barely pay your bills, or programs for your children.
This multi-level government secrecy is disgusting.
We are NOT the UN’s dumping ground.
Tag your councillors, Your Mayors, All Durham MPPs, & MPs Demand a public meeting NOW.
