JUST IN: Carney’s Historic UK Visit HUMILIATES Trump – Canada Rises, Breaks Free from U.S. Shadow!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIYMvafJFso

Prime Minister Mark Carney has landed in London for one of the most important trips in Canadian history. In this breaking news deep-dive, Canada Live unpacks how Carney’s UK visit is shaking global politics, building billion-dollar trade opportunities, and sending a direct message to Donald Trump: Canada will not bow.

Carney is meeting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, world leaders, and global investors at the Global Progress Action Summit to court investment, strengthen alliances, and diversify Canada’s economy beyond U.S. control. With Canada’s trade dependence on the U.S. under constant threat from Trump’s tariffs and rhetoric about making Canada the “51st state,” this trip is nothing less than a battle for Canada’s independence.

<<<<<<<<<<

Prime Minister Mark Carney getting ready to head to Europe today. His plane is just taking off from the airport in Ottawa as I can see on our cameras here. The Prime Minister will be in the United Kingdom for more trade talks with the British. But Mark Carney will also be meeting with leaders of Australia, Spain, Denmark, Iceland. There he is with Kier Star on an earlier visit attend Downing Street. Uh the idea here is to find new friends and also to deepen trade ties with the friends we have. Donald Trump's trade war on our country has really scrambled the economic math. And Canada needs new friends, allies, trading partners. And it's going to be a long road, by the way. So brace yourself as we rewire our trading relationships. But obviously Europeans, British, Australians are good options. Carney will be in the UK from Thursday until Sunday. He'll also be there for a pivotal moment on Canadian sport. Canada takes on England in women's rugby on Saturday. And Carney earlier today was meeting with the leader of Ireland as well. Mark Carney, Canada's prime minister, has just landed in London. And let's be absolutely
clear, this is no ordinary trip. This is not about a polite wave, not about ceremonial photographs, not about polite statements that no one remembers. This is about a battle. A battle for Canada's independence. A battle for our sovereignty. A battle to prove that we
are not Trump's backyard. Not Trump's property, not Trump's 51st state. Carney
is not walking into London quietly. He is walking in with fire, determination,
and a mission. He is here to tell the world that Canada has its own voice, its
own future, and its own destiny. That Canada will not bow. That Canada will
stand tall. Let's remind ourselves of the stakes. For decades, Canada's economy has leaned heavily on the United States. 3/4 of our exports head south.
Our industries, our jobs, our stability, all tangled in the moods of Washington.
And under Trump, that dependence turned into a weapon. Steel tariffs, aluminum
tariffs, trade threats, and the most outrageous of them all. Trump openly talking about making Canada part of the United States, a 51st state. Imagine that. Trump bragging that Canada could be bought, that Canadians could be absorbed, that our identity could be erased. Carney said no. Carney said Canada is not for sale. And now in
London, Carney is putting those words into action. Because here's the reality.
If Canada doesn't diversify, if we don't spread our wings, if we don't build
stronger ties with Europe, with Asia, with the world, then Trump holds the
leash. He holds the chain and every Canadian knows what that looks like.
Tariffs, humiliation, subservience.
Carney refuses to let that happen. That's why this trip matters. The United Kingdom is our biggest European trading partner. In 2024, two-way trade between Canada and the UK hits $61 billion.
British companies employ more than 166,000 Canadians. And now Carney wants more. He wants new factories, new plants, new investments in Canadian soil. He wants billions flowing into clean energy, critical minerals, AI, advanced manufacturing. He wants a stronger Canada, not a weaker one. But this trip is not just about money. It is about power. It is about sending a signal to Trump and to the world that Canada will no longer be treated as a junior partner, as an afterthought.
Remember when the UK rolled out the red carpet for Trump, treating him like royalty? Carney fired back. He said Canadians were not impressed. That wasn't just a joke. That was a direct shot at the idea that Trump deserves blind loyalty. And now by standing in
London, Carney is proving that Canada can command the same respect and more.
Think about what's happening this week. At the Global Progress Action Summit, Carney sits among world leaders, Kier Starmer of Britain, Anthony Albanesei of Australia, Met Frederickson of Denmark, and more. He is not the little brother in the room. He is not the quiet guest in the corner. He is at the center pitching Canada as the stable,
resourcerich, reliable partner the world needs. And his message is clear. Canada
has what the world wants, and we are ready to deliver. But with high stakes
comes high risk. What if no deals are signed? What if no money is promised?
What if all we get is vague language about exploring opportunities? Then Carney's critics will pounce. They will say this was a vanity tour, a waste of taxpayer dollars, a photo op that solved nothing. Trump himself will sneer. He will call Carney weak. He will call Canada irrelevant. He will laugh. That's why Carney cannot afford failure. He must walk out of London with receipts, with contracts, with investments, with timelines. Otherwise, the narrative slips away. And yet, that's exactly what makes this so thrilling. Carney is betting big. He is gambling on Canada's future. He is saying, "We will not be cowed by Trump's bullying. We will not be shackled to America's chaos. We will rise." Picture the drama. Carney in a highstakes meeting, laying out Canada's case for clean energy investment. Across the Atlantic, Trump's stewing, watching, waiting for failure. This isn't just diplomacy. It's a duel. Carney's voice saying, "We will not bow." Trump sneer
whispering. You will. So, who wins? The answer lies in what Carney delivers. If
he brings back new trade terms with the UK, if he brings back major factory
announcements, if he brings back mobility programs for skilled workers, if he locks in joint climate projects, then Canada wins. Then Carney proves that our future is not chained to Trump's America. Then he proves that Canada can lead. But there's more at
play here than politics. This is about identity. What does it mean to be Canadian? Do we see ourselves as America's neighbor, always in their shadow, always begging for crumbs, or do we see ourselves as a sovereign nation with our own allies, our own power, our
own destiny? Carney is betting that Canadians want the latter. And let's not
forget the symbolism. Carney, a former governor of the Bank of England, standing once again in London, not as a banker, but as a prime minister, not as an employee, but as a leader. He has come full circle, but this time he carries the weight of a nation on his shoulders. This is Canada's moment. But Trump's shadow is long. If Trump retakes the White House, every deal Carney signs will be tested. Every alliance will be strained. Trump will do everything he can to undermine Canada's independence.
That is why Carney is moving fast to build alliances strong enough to withstand the storm to put Canada beyond Trump's reach. So the question is simple. Will Carney succeed? Will this trip be remembered as the moment Canada declared its independence from America's
grip? Or will it be remembered as a failed gamble, a bold but empty gesture?
We will know soon. But what we already know is this. Carney has chosen the
harder path, the braver path, the path that says Canada will not bow. And that
alone is worth watching. And that is why you need to stay tuned because what
happens in London will not stay in London. It will shape your job, your family, your community, your future.
